The Champion for Change Award honors businesses that supply the health care sector who have not only taken steps to improve their organization’s green practices, but have also  gone the extra mile to help their clients and associates expand their sustainable practices as well. In multiple “Green Healthcare” projects in the U.S. and around the globe, Philips has enabled hospitals to realize electricity savings in excess of 50% in lighting and medical equipment and help free-up significant resources for improving the healthcare environments for patients and staff.

Philips received the award at the annual CleanMed Conference & Exposition, the premier environmental conference for leaders in healthcare sustainability, last night in Cleveland, Ohio.
