Philips’ new Prestigo Remote puts you in the driver’s seat

October 7, 2008

The new Philips Prestigo Universal Remote Control was designed with simplicity in mind, allowing for up to fifteen home entertainment devices to be controlled through one easy-to-use remote.

The Prestigo provides the ideal balance between screen and button control with its easy to use format, putting you in the driver’s seat!

The Prestigo can be easily programmed to control almost any brand of almost all audio/video equipment, using the on-board IR code database.

It also incorporates a library of channel icons for New Zealand’s main TV stations as well as most SKY channels. Once set up, you use the LCD screen info to zap through your channels using the icons of TV stations instead of the digit keys on your remote.

“The Prestigo allows you to have all your favourite channels at your fingertips,” says Caroline Rainsford, Philips’ Consumer Lifestyle Marketing Manager.

The remote control also features an easy-to-read 2" high resolution color LCD display which ensures great readability of the content on the screen, as well as a rotary cursor for fast menu navigation.

Best of all, it has a macro function which can be set up for several scenarios to control multiple devices at the touch of a button; including turning on the TV, DVD player and switching the home theatre system to movie mode.

Philips Prestigo Universal Remote SRU8015 RRP $329.00
