Celebrating Valentine's Day with Philips LED lighting

The iconic Times Square Ball, decked out in red-themed LED lighting by Philips, helped New Yorkers celebrate Valentine’s Day as it becomes a permanent landmark in the city. The Ball made its debut as a permanent installation atop 1 Times Square for the first time this January and is lit by high-power LEDs from Philips Lighting, which have made the ball brighter and more energy-efficient than ever before. The Ball remains lit year-round from 7AM to 2AM daily for visitor and tourist enjoyment and, in addition to Valentine's Day, will be programmed to help recognize other holidays, including St. Patrick's Day, Independence Day, and Halloween.
