This amount was raised via a special promotion on the energy efficient Philips MASTER TL5 and MASTER TL-D Eco fluorescent lamps. During the campaign period, which ran from May 2007 to May 2008, Philips made a donation to WWF for every MASTER TL5 and MASTER TL-D Eco lamp sold in Europe. |

 | | Philips announced that it will light the uniquely designed Octavio Frias de Oliveira bridge in São Paulo, Brazil, using its newest lighting technologies including LED. The Octavio Frias de Oliveira bridge is the latest architectural highlight of the São Paulo state capital, built over the Pinheiros River beltway to link the districts of Brooklin and Real Parque. The solutions provided by Philips highlight the grandeur of this unique bridge while consuming 53% less energy than traditional lighting systems, while reducing maintenance costs and improving road safety. |
