Philips to provide Amsterdam with Philips' revolutionary LED-based street lighting solution UrbanLine

Amsterdam, the Netherlands – Royal Philips Electronics (AEX: PHI, NYSE: PHG) today announced that the city of Amsterdam will install Philips' LED-based street lighting solution UrbanLine, designed specifically for the residential outdoor market. Switching over to Philips' UrbanLine solution will allow the city of Amsterdam to save around 50% of energy costs, announced Tjeerd Herreman (left), local councillor for transport, traffic and infrastructure and Rudy Provoost (right), CEO Philips Lighting.
