Philips to celebrate sale of fifth million Senseo coffee maker in The Netherlands

Fifth Million Senseo

Philips revolutionized the coffee experience by introducing the Senseo coffee maker in 2001, together with Sara Lee's Douwe Egberts. Now, more than half a decade later, nearly every Dutch household has at least one Senseo, as Philips today celebrates the sale of the fifth million Senseo in the Netherlands. The Senseo success story continues with the launch of the special edition Senseo designed by the internationally acclaimed and award-winning Dutch designer Tord Boontje in October 2007.
